The teacher posed a question to all present and asked, Can God testify of you that you can teach your children the way of the lord as he did for Abraham?

What is a godly home?

Is one whose members have been saved, sanctified and baptized and are living a consistent Christian life. In such a home, there is peace and joy. In that home, Jesus is the foundation. If your home is built on beauty or earthly things, there will be calamity and problem. That home will not stand. God is the head and final authority of a godly home. Kindness is the attitude and holiness is the standard. Love is the language, joy is their music, they stand united, the husband is the king , the wife is the queen and the children are led in the way of the lord.

It is governed by the word of God. The Bible is an open book in such a house, it is never hidden. There is love, respect and mutual understanding. They show hospitality to others and are generous. Husbands are not to beat their wives for they are weaker vessels. The men should provide for the household. The father should not be too strict or a tyrant but should be a leader the family will look up to. Mothers: and wives must me submissive as Christ submitted himself to God.

Roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in a Godly home
Husbands should show unconditional love to their wives as God showed us love by letting Jesus die for us . This is emphasized in Ephesians 5:29.

Children must help their parents when they grow old .

House-helps must work with their whole heart and not wait for the man of the house to come home before they do eye-service.

Grandparents/In-laws must not put things apart in their children’s home. The grandmothers are to teach the wives to be sober and love their husbands.

Provision for experiencing the power of God
There should be personal devotion before a general devotion in the house. There should be family worship . Everything should be done collectively. We should pray for one another .We should love God. We should be faithful to our spouses

And conclude by giving examples of faithful men and women
